I reset the mobile Wifi Bluetooth Mobile Networks and rebooted the Galaxy 46mm watch. I have just completed the process as you have suggested. When it was in this state the watch was very sluggish and it took about 1 min toggling through the settings. Your watch will disconnect from your phone when Bluetooth is turned off. Remove your watch from Bluetooth memory.
